The HongNor IX5B Competition 1/8 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit is a high-performance race platform engineered for serious competitors. Designed by a 1:8 GT World Champion manufacturer, this buggy blends advanced geometry, premium materials, and race-proven engineering for exceptional durability and speed. Every component has been optimized for strength, efficiency, and ease of maintenance. From high-speed straights to demanding technical sections, the IX5B is built to perform at the highest level of competition.
Race-Focused Drivetrain & Differential Design
The IX5B features a redesigned differential housing system that allows for quick and easy differential swaps. Front and rear gearboxes utilize angled bevel gear designs to improve center dogbone alignment and deliver quicker, smoother acceleration. Lightweight front, rear, and center differentials combined with hardened CNC-machined bevel gears ensure reliable power transfer under extreme racing conditions. A quick-release center differential mount further simplifies tuning between heats.
Premium Chassis & Structural Components
At the core of the IX5B is a 3mm lightweight 7075 aluminum chassis with countersunk screws for improved ground clearance and rigidity. CNC-machined 7075 aluminum shock towers, arm holders, and toe plates provide exceptional strength while keeping weight to a minimum. The 2.5mm carbon fiber center upper plate enhances torsional stiffness, improving overall handling and responsiveness. Strategic chassis balance options allow counterweights to be added for fine-tuning front and rear bias.
Competition-Ready Suspension & Body Design
High-stiffness shock springs and precision suspension geometry deliver consistent handling across a wide range of track conditions. The front caster angle adjustable blocks allow fast setup changes to suit different driving styles. An updated low-drag polycarbonate bodyshell improves aerodynamics, while the one-piece wing mount minimizes deformation during hard landings. A sealed receiver box protects electronics and conceals the transponder for a clean, race-ready installation.
